Bio
“EDICA+ creates otherworldly, intoxicating, and flavorful sounds from around the world,” writes Essence Magazine. As a Guyanese artist, DJ, and curator hailing from South Texas by way of Brooklyn, she specializes in the fusion of classic and future sound system music, featuring Dub, Bass, Deep Dubstep, Dancehall, & other Experimental/World Electronica.
In 2021, EDICA+ joined Dub-Stuy, North America’s premier sound system crew and record label, which cemented her position at the forefront of sound system culture stateside. EDICA+ has performed at major festivals, including SXSW and Austin Reggae Festival, as well as provided support for Mad Professor and Hempress Sativa. As a resident DJ of Brooklyn Dub Club and Hi-Fi Social Club and with countless guest sets throughout the five boroughs, she has quickly become a fixture in the NYC bass music scene and ready to spread the vibes to any clubs and festivals worldwide.
Besides music, EDICA+ collaborates with various music organizations and is constantly evolving her artistry through educational initiatives. She is the founder and host of “Dub & Effection,” an informative, explorational Brooklyn-based radio show dedicated to all things influenced today by the highly influential “Champion Sound” genre of Dub Music.
Through her tasteful combination of legendary classics with new refreshing vibrations, EDICA+’s eclectic sets bump bodies and massage minds worldwide.
